give yourself time to explore this beautiful city

We could only squeeze in 3 nights in Amsterdam and while we got to briefly explore the city, it was not enough time. This city was truly bustling, full of youth and had a strong nightlife. The canals are everywhere and so are the bikes.

Zaanse Schans was a highlight and to see the iconic Dutch windmills was pretty cool. I also tried their national dish, the Dutch Herring… being brutally honest, I took one bite and the rest ended up in the bin. It’s pretty much raw fish, so yep, no thank you.

Pay the Anne Frank House a visit while in Amsterdam. This experience is very, very moving and being in the annex itself quite something. Make sure to order your tickets in advance as tickets sell out fast.
