st. moritz

glitz and glam

Known for being catered to the rich and famous, this resort is extravagant and lavish. We stayed in the casino side of St. Moritz where we were surrounded by Bentley’s, Rolls Royce’s, Louis. Vuitton, Hermes etc. It certainly lived up to its title.

We stayed in the Art Boutique Monopol Hotel which was the best accomodation all trip and had arguably the best jacuzzi! See below for a video of it. We spent both nights after dinner at the sky-bar located in the hotel. Another recommendation to add to the list. Views, drinks, vibes. They had a DJ playing both nights. This place was buzzing and a great place to have a drink after a big day of skiing.

In regards to our itinerary, we did 2 days, 3 nights here which was personally enough for me. We spent the first day of skiing in the Corviglia area of St. Moritz and the second at Covatsch, about a 20 minute bus ride from the St. Moritz town centre (both connected with the one ski pass).

In all honesty, if you are coming to purely ski, I would leave this off the list. The skiing isn’t anywhere near the other resorts that we went to. However, if you are wanting to stay in a luxurious resort that had endless amenities than this is your place.

See below for my three recommendations.

my recommendations

  • sky bar @ art boutqiue hotel monopol

Great cocktails with a stunning backdrop. What more could you ask for…

  • la stalla st. moritz, restaurant & pizzeria

Truffle cheese-fondue was on point. Must go just to try this!

  • ski covatsch

Catch the local bus to Corvatsch (20 min bus ride). The views of the alps here are much better and also less frequented… so more skiing and less crowds! There’s also a run that takes you back to St. Moritz.
