switzerland 2019

a magical place

We spent 3 nights here and this is all it took for me to fall in love with Switzerland.

We stayed in Interlarken, a great base to stay if you are looking to travel around to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen and explore the alps.

We opted to take it relatively easy on the first day and take in the scenery, so we rented a couple bikes and rode around. I highly, highly recommend doing this to really explore the beauty that Switzerland possesses.

Our 2nd day consisted on being quite relaxed but we had planned to go paragliding. Having never done this before, I was super nervous, but hell, that was probably the most fun I had in so long. Paragliding is very relaxed and you are seated the whole time, so this was perfect to take in the Swiss Alps from a higher vantage point. Worth every single penny.

We went to Jungfraujoch on the 3rd day which is the highest peak in Europe. I’d recommend doing this if you haven’t been to Switzerland before but nevertheless it was still a nice day trip… and I got to try snowboarding!!

It only took me 3 nights to fall in love with Switzerland and I’m sure you will too. Be careful though, Switzerland is very, very expensive…

my recommendations

  • bike ride around interlarken

A must do and a great way to explore the town.

  • go paragliding

Unlike sky diving, paragliding is much more chill and very relaxing! A great way to see the Swiss Alps from another angle.
